Do you want to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to close the skills gap in the labor market and help improve people’s performance through innovation and entrepreneurship?
Then you should participate in the 2025 TecPrize challenge, in which entrepreneurs present their educational innovations and receive a number of benefits, as well as cash prizes for the top 3 winners.
“TecPrize is an open innovation initiative from Tec de Monterrey’s Institute for the Future of Education (IFE), aimed at showcasing, supporting, and scaling innovative solutions to educational challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“The specific focus of this year’s challenge is on using AI to close the job skills gap,” explained Rodrigo Correa, EdTech entrepreneurship coordinator at IFE.
The call for applications, which is looking for projects focused on bridging the skills gap so that people have better opportunities and can participate in the transformation of their environments, will be open until August 31.
Since its creation, TecPrize has received over 900 applications from more than 40 countries around the world.
“This year, we’re expecting between 100 to 200 applications from more than 20 countries.
In the five years of the program, the winners and finalists of TecPrize have raised over three million dollars in capital and impacted more than 2.5 million learners. One finalist startup has also achieved exit/acquisition (being acquired by a larger company),” Correa added.
He explained that TecPrize aims to promote solutions to the world’s educational challenges.
