The talent and impact of Tec de Monterrey graduates in the labor market has been reflected in the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) 2025, placing the institution in position #68 globally.

The Tec is the only university in Latin America within the top 100. It climbed 13 places in comparison with last year and is also ranked the #1 university in both Mexico and Latin America.

These rankings have been designed by the French consultancy firm Emerging and published by Times Higher Education (THE) since 2016.

The list reveals which universities recruiters at major companies believe are the best at preparing students for the world of work.

This year, 1,000 universities were evaluated, of which 250 were ranked based on the opinion of employers in 33 countries.

“Being in the top 100 of the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) recognizes the dedicationand potential of Tecnológico de Monterrey graduates, who transform the world through their work,” said Feniosky Peña-Mora, Executive Vice President of Research at Tec de Monterrey.

“The institution’s improvement in these international rankings motivates us to reaffirm our commitment to academic excellence and the creation of knowledge that solves not only today’s challenges, but also tomorrow’s,” he added.

The results

GEURS assesses the employability of students from higher education institutions and is the only survey that identifies the world’s top 250 universities in terms of graduate preparation, based on employers’ assessment, knowledge, and expectations.

For these 14th rankings, 129,126 votes were collected from 13,240 operational and international managers in 33 countries, constituting the largest sample to date.

In line with surveys from previous years, there is an increasing presence of Asian universities, reflecting a more global approach to measuring how universities prepare their students for the labor market.

Only nine universities from Latin America appear on the list. Mexico produced the most, with three among the top 250: Tec de Monterrey (#68), UNAM (#125), and the University of Guadalajara (#228).

“The global emphasis on employability is driving transformative change as universities and employers work together more to equip graduates with essential skills for today’s dynamic job market,” said Sandrine Belloc, Managing Partner at Emerging.
